About Us

We were the shop the dealer handed the car to.

The ideal

Two brothers. One lot on East Fremont. Ten years of fixing other dealers' work before we sold a single car of our own.

Our story

Five parts. One reason we exist.

  1. 01

    The tension

Being treated like a transaction stopped surprising anyone.

  2. 02

    The turning point

We saw it up close. We were the shop the dealer handed the car to.

  3. 03

    The stand we took

Warmth and competence. Systems that protect.

  4. 04

    Your role in it

You've heard the pitch before. We're not going to run one.

  5. 05

    The future we're building

Business that serves instead of takes. We call it a Relationship Renaissance. It starts with one car.

The turning point

We weren't bystanders.

For more than ten years, our family's shop fixed cars for dealerships. We saw which dealers spent the extra thirty dollars on a safe tire, and which ones didn't.

Fixing usually meant patching what broke, covering what was wrong, and protecting the margin.

Now the shop is ours. When one of our cars needs that tire, the work happens in our own bay, by the same hands that spent ten years doing it for other dealers. Most small lots send recon out and pay retail for it, so every repair comes straight off the margin, and there is always a reason to skip it. We never have to make that choice. A big franchise dealer can do the work right because they own the shop. So do we. The difference is that you still get the two of us.

It isn't a car thing. You see the same mindset in the product, in the service, in the work. A business either serves or it takes.

So we built one that serves. Then we built systems for it, so it holds on the days we're tired.

What we live by

Four values. Lived, not printed.

Especially when it's hard.

Genuine Presence
You get one of the two of us, every time.
Concreteness
We write down what we found, flaws included.
Earned Competence
Ten years fixing dealership cars before we sold one.
Mutual Elevation
We'll tell you when we're not the right fit.

The people

Two brothers. That's the whole team. Ten years fixing what other dealers wouldn't. Authentico is the product of that.

Erik Trejo, Owner · the strategist

Erik Trejo

Owner · the strategist

Erik designs the standard and builds the systems that hold it. He works in the background, on purpose, the point was never a personality to sell around. It was a structure that would still be here after the handshake.

Carlos Trejo, Field operations · the implementor

Carlos Trejo

Field operations · the implementor

Carlos is the one holding the flashlight at 7am, deciding whether a car is good enough to carry the name. Vehicle inspections, auction spotting, the standard is his to enforce, one car at a time. He's the reason the systems work.
